VET 264 - Veterinary Pharmacology Credit(s): 4 This course introduces the drugs used in veterinary medical practice, including their actions and possible interactions and side effects. It provides the knowledge needed to calculate drug dosages, administer treatments, dispense drugs to clients as prescribed by the veterinarian, and instruct clients about drug administration and precautions.
Prerequisite(s): MTH 130 with a grade of A; VET 134 with a grade of C or better Note: Restricted to Veterinary Technician Students. Current tetanus vaccination, current rabies vaccination, and proof of health insurance coverage are required.
