MTH 230(D) - Discrete Mathematics Credit(s): 4 MassTransfer Block Code: Mathematics A rigorous, proof-oriented mathematics course introducing students to proof writing and emphasizing both theory and applications. Topics include logic, set theory, proof and proof techniques, induction and recursion, counting techniques, introductory number theory, graphs and trees, functions and relations, analysis of algorithms, Boolean algebra, and finite state machines.
