PHI 120(C) - Ethics Credit(s): 3 MassTransfer Block Code: Humanities/Fine and Performing Arts Focuses on how to make better philosophical arguments about moral matters and thus how to make more informed decisions in a morally complex world. Discusses some central moral theories (such as natural law, utilitarianism, Kantian moral theory, virtue ethics, and feminist moral theories) which have informed Western philosophy’s views on ethical decision making. May address different philosophical arguments on issues such as abortion, animal rights, and the death penalty.
