RDL 115 - Patient Care Credit(s): 3 This course introduces Radiologic Technology students to the basic knowledge and skills required for participation in the clinical setting. Topics include: introduction to the healthcare team, interpersonal communication, professional credentialing and organizations, professional conduct, infection control, patient monitoring, medical devices, ergonomics and safe patient transfer, venipuncture, pharmacology, medical emergencies, medical legality, and ethics in healthcare. Classes include lecture, demonstration, and practice of patient care procedures.
Prerequisite(s): Acceptance into Radiologic Technology program Corequisite(s): RDL 122 and RDL 132 Additional Course Fee: $50 Course Equipment and Materials Fee. All fees subject to change Note: A grade of “C+” or better is required in all RDL courses to remain in and graduate from this program.
