MTH 192(D) - Statistics with Modern Computer Applications Credit(s): 3 MassTransfer Block Code: Mathematics An introductory course in statistics. Students explore and analyze data using software (such as R or Python) with no previous experience required. On-campus sections will be taught in a computer lab.
Topics include graphical description of data, measures of central tendency and variability, probability and probability distributions, central limit theorem, estimation of parameters, testing hypotheses, regression and correlation, analysis of variance and other topics in statistical inference.
Prerequisite(s): Eligibility for MTH 013 or adequate test score on the Mathematics Placement Examination Note: Students cannot receive credit for both MTH 142 and MTH 192.
